About Alpy
A family machine shop that became a global chocolate machinery manufacturer
Alpy started building food production equipment in 1985. Since 1994 the company has worked from its own 4,500 m² factory in Esenyurt, Istanbul, where every Alpy machine is still designed, fabricated, and tested today. In 2004 the second generation took over: two brothers, both engineers. Aytac Alptekin trained at Middle East Technical University; Aykut Alptekin at Yildiz Technical University. Under their management the product range grew from individual machines into complete chocolate production and processing lines, and Alpy grew into one of Turkey's leading manufacturers of chocolate machinery.
That combination — a workshop culture that has been making machines for forty years, run by engineers who design them — is why customers as demanding as Barry Callebaut have put Alpy equipment on their floors. Alpy has completed multiple R&D projects supported by TUBITAK, the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey. The output is not papers; it is patents and production lines. Our patented Rotary Depositor Drop Chocolate Line, developed in-house, now has more than 30 installations worldwide. Alpy equipment is exported to more than 45 countries, in plants ranging from regional confectioners to multinational manufacturers — reference projects include Barry Callebaut in Holland, Schluckwerder GmbH in Germany, Compañía Nacional de Chocolates in Colombia, and Fresh Food Industry in Australia.
Alpy is a trusted name across much of Europe, and a record of successful projects and long-term partnerships has earned it a strong position in the European market. Why are we so well established there? Because the Chocolate Shell Line we built for Schluckwerder GmbH in 2018 has run flawlessly ever since; because the Spinner Moulding Line we developed together with Barry Callebaut at their plant in Zundert, the Netherlands, runs non-stop; because Helbérica S.A. in Spain commissioned a second line identical to the Rotary Depositor Drop Line we had already delivered to them; and because our tempering machines achieve flawless true crystallization, giving chocolate maximum gloss, ideal texture, and consistent quality.
